Colombian medalists at the Olympic Games in London 2012

The London 2012 Olympic Games remained in history as the best for Colombia, for a total of  8 medals     (1 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze). Here are the eight medalists from Colombia.

The XXX Olympic Games are a sporting event that is taking place from July 27 until August 12, 2012 in London, United Unido.3 The first event, the group stage in women's soccer tournament began two days before the inauguration, on 25 July 2012.4 around 10,500 athletes from 204 countries participating in the Olympics Londres.5

London is the first city to host the Olympics three times, having previously played host in 1908 and 8 July 1948.6
After the bid led by former Olympic champion Sebastian Coe and the Mayor of London Ken Livingstone, London was chosen as the host city on July 6, 2005 for the 117. IOC meeting in Singapore, defeating Moscow, New York , Madrid and Paris.

The Colombian rider Rigoberto Uran

The cycling route, would the first silver medal and the first joy for Colombia by Rigoberto Uran, who after a deadly attack along with the Kazakh Alexandre Vinokourov, achieved the silver medal hung on a test where the favorites were the Britons.
